So the list I'm running with right now is as follows:
Archmage
Ellyrian Reavers (5) w/ bows and champion
Sea Guard (14) w/shields and full command
Bolt Thrower (x2)
Lion chariot
I'm doing this list for one reason. It's 750 points and that gets me off the hook for this month. Pretty simple. After I finish this list and turn it in for the league I'm going to drop the chariot and start working on more Sea Guard. I want the chariot done, as I get league rewards for completing it.
So after that I'm jumping right into more. Namely I'm retooling the 750 point list to actually play. Here's what I'm going for to play with. Take out the combat stuff and gear it back to ranged. It removes 2 models and adds in 19 more. Which is why I want to make sure I hit the 750 mark before working on it.
Mage level 2 w/dispell
Sea Guard (20) w/shields and full command
Ellyrian Reavers w/bows and musician (maybe, the model is a champion, I'll have to look at converting it)
Bolt thrower
Archers (15) w/ full command
After that I go to work on a 1000 point army. I'm thinking for that I'll basically just double my Sea Guard and pull out archers to make up the point overage. Basically pull out 3 guys and add in 20 (!) more. So February is painting just Sea Guard. So it will look something like this:

At this point I'll have a chariot, three archers and a bolt thrower I'm not using. That's 220 points, almost enough for a while month. Interestingly, I have a total of 20 archers, so I might just paint 3 more while I'm at it and cover March. So my 1250 army would look like this:

And finally, here's what I have so far painted:
I have a lot of Sea Guard to paint. Fortunately for me, only 10 models are finely detailed. The rest are just converted Spearmen.
Just a quick update. I went ahead and started on the Sea Guard, but I tore into 20 of them at once. It's going really well and really fast. At this rate I think I can just do them and follow them with 20 archers (15 for the list). After that I'll probably nail down my chariot. After that I can start working on the next 20 Sea Guard. Then just a bolt thrower. That's more than enough to cover from here until March and I'm betting I'll have it done by the end of the month.
