This is my recollection from an old game. It's pretty accurate and brief.
When playing an X-Men/Marvel game the two players battled off a sentinel and fled their home town. They then watched the news of people on the news declaring war on mutants. The X-Men had been in contact with the players and helped them out, but were now busy with battling sentinels.
I ask the players what they're doing.
"I don't know what to do, lets play xbox"
Keep in mind this is IN GAME. So they're playing x box at their hide out apartment while the X-Men are battling the sentinels that are trying to wipe out all of mutant kind.
At this point we toss out all session planning and I bang my head on the desk until I blackout.
